Prescription Renewals
Whenever possible please request prescription refills during your office visits. If you require a prescription refill between appointments please provide a 48 hour notice. If you have not been seen recently, an office visit may be required before your medication can be refilled.
Most pharmacies have an automated telephone line that you can call to request additional refills even if your prescription bottle indicates that no refills remain. Your pharmacy will then fax a request to authorize additional refills to your doctor. A call to the office is not necessary unless your pharmacy is unable to accommodate this service.
If you call the office, please be prepared with everything we need to know when asking for prescription refills including:
- Pharmacy name, location and phone number
- Medication name, dosage and directions
- Phone number where you can be reached
